This is who we're fighting for
This is Stella. She is recovering from not her 1st...but 2nd corrective surgery after a breeder had her vocal cords cut just to stifle her voice. Scar tissue obstructed more than 50% of her airway!
Support An Act Prohibiting Devocalization of Dogs and Cats in MA, House Bill 344, to save dogs like Stella from this cruel and inhumane practice

HOW TO HELP BAN DEVOCALIZATION
To help BAN devocalization, the cruel practice of cutting a dog's or cat's vocal cords just to stifle his voice, all you need is a phone!
► Call, fax or send a letter to your STATE Rep and Senator (not those in DC). To find them: Call 800-462-8683 or click on http://wheredoivotema.com/bal/myelectioninfo.php and look for “Rep and Senate in General Court.”
► Urge them to ensure House Bill 344 passes as written. Those profiting from devocalization want to introduce loopholes to make the law unenforceable. If they succeed in killing or altering the bill, defenseless dogs and cats will continue to be subjected to this risky, unnecessary surgery. Your voice is needed to protect theirs.
► Angell Animal Medical Center supports this bill. A growing number of other veterinary practices also are stepping up to take an ethical stand against this unnecessary surgery. Email cprpets@aol.com to find one near you.

DEVOCALIZATION IS BRUTALIZATION!
Devocalization-or cutting a dog or cat's vocal cords just to stifle his voice -is cruel and inhumane. It's also risky, and WAY more common than you would think. HB 344, An Act Prohibiting Devocalization, would ban this cruel practice in Massachusetts.
